Going into business has many, many challenges. Have you ever considered going into business? Did you do it or did you change your mind? Why? Some of the challenges would cause even the most confident person to change their focus. Like professional sports (not to mention X-Games), business is not for the faint of heart.
Some of the challenges are getting registered as an official business in the area that you live in (your state) and getting that tax i.d. number, while having your ideal name registered. There are many other challenges that don’t have a thing to do with your first transaction.
- Getting business cards
- Marketing materials
- Securing your domain
- Getting your website
- Choosing the right colors for your overall branding
- Products / Service ready for launch
- Getting the word out
Depending upon what type of business you have will determine whether or not I’ve left anything out ?
Now let’s assume regardless to your business choice…you have everything you need. What else can be so tough?
Do you have the confidence to engage customers (can you make your first sale)? What are your hours, are you willing to work around the clock? Are you working alone? Are you getting or have you gotten the word out? This piece is filled with questions because these are the issues and challenges of business.
Now if you are a perspective business owner the best way to get around this questions is #1 planning and #2 being sure of what you want to do and why you want to do it. You will need a score of sources and resources (coaches, experienced business owners, books, websites with a focus on your area of focus. It’s not always so simple.
