Making a way out of no way!
“Everybody’s talking all this stuff about me why can’t they just let me live”..do you remember how this song was all over urban radio during the 1990’s? It’s the lyrics that tell the story and indicate what the artist (Bobby Brown) is feeling and the direction that he is going in. What about you, what’s the indicator that determines where you’re going?
What you put in a thing will determine what you get out of it. Are you relying on the government, the church, or your family to predict your future? You’re responsible for your own life! I realize that sometimes we do need help making life decisions, but that is a road you cross after you analyze where you are.
The grass can be greener on the other side of life if you are sowing seed and harvesting it, but if not you may have to face that reality that your future, your tomorrow is a question mark because you’re not willing to participate in your own rescue. Never position yourself to look back and say “If I woulda, coulda, woulda, shoulda”, Lou Rawls said in his song, “that’s what folks always say.”
It’s your prerogative, whether you have a short term goal, a long term goal or no goal at all. However, when you have the idea to plan or figure a thing out…it eliminates the excuse of not knowing, so figure it out be the hero in your own life (and be glad that you did).
