I can’t get no satisfaction is what the Rolling Stones sing about in their song. Can you believe it they are still performing today. Many times in life we can’t get satisfaction and we don’t understand why. We will try and still no results. So as the Rolling Stones say…do you try, do you try, do you try only to find out you really can’t get no satisfaction?
The truth about this is that “our thinking is wrong” and we either don’t realize it or we don’t want to hear it because in order for things to be different it requires “change”. One of the most difficult things in life is change. In order to climb that corporate ladder or become the type of entrepreneur that you really want to become it’s necessary to see things differently.
If you’ve heard the expression, step outside of yourself then you’ll understand that although it’s difficult, the objective is for you to literally have an entirely different view.
That view should be constructive and it should help you learn how to build on your task or performance.
That includes the actual way you speak or explain the objective or task.
That includes the way that you look when executing the objective or task.
That also includes the way the picture is painted or demonstrated relating to that objective or task.
It’s not about you, so the point is to make the object or task appealing to your team, your employees or viewers.
That view could or should also be critical and should serve to help you eliminate anything distracting or non productive.
That includes the actual way you speak or explain the objective or task.
That also includes the way the picture is painted or demonstrated relating to that objective or task.
The point of it all is that you will either need to be totally committed to the change you need or you will have to learn how to accept someone showing and sharing these values with you, so that you get the desired outcome. In my books and presentations, you will find that this point is made with great emphasis and it’s one of the driving factors behind “the cure series” and the “Radiate the Brain & Change the Game” mindset.
We are all wired differently and every approach is not appropriate for every person, so you have to do yourself justice by identifying how you learn best and applying that approach to your growth and development. Remember opportunity doesn’t go away, it just goes to other people. Now, you should hear the song in your mind a little bit less. I can’t get no satisfaction…..
