There are certain cliche’s that have been around for a long time, but…like everything else, things change. I think I’m one of those guys who like the idea of having my cake and eating too! For such a long time I would fight the notion that it was out of reach and unrealistic! Guess what…it’s no longer true!!!!
Whether it’s daily life or otherwise, we all can benefit from technology and how fast information is transferred today. There was a time that a reservation or a car deal could only be confirmed by going to the actual location and making an inquiry. Today things have changed so much that you can price compare and look all over the place for the best deal and you can do it by the click of a (computer) mouse.
Our handheld cell phones and devices are so powerful it’s like nothing is out of bounds. Now the trick is to not spoil ourselves from all of this cake…and eating it too ? I’m sure we’re all familiar with what our cell phones allow us to do, but do we take advantage of it in a positive way?
There is merit at living a measured life. Sometimes going to fast or having everything at our finger tips can be too much. It can feed the ugly machine of more and of selfishness. We wonder why so many people have so much, while others may have little. Some may argue that It’s not the fault of technology it’s the fault of people who use it to their advantage.
Whether its true or not is not the answer…the answer is do you want to look at the flowers or do you want to smell them? That’s what having your cake is really all about!
