Are you expressing your true value? That’s the one thing that should not only make the biggest difference to you, but it should also make a difference to those in your sphere of influence.
Many of us go through life without living up to our fullest potential. We go along just to get along. The saddest thing about that is we actually convince ourselves that we are happy, we are doing what we really want and that we are doing what we are supposed to be doing.
The nay sayers couldn’t be happier with our decision and our opinion of ourselves. You’ll learn that it’s a common thinking that if all of my friends or people around me think and act as I do…the status quo must be ok. The people around us want to feel loved and accepted just as they are and they should feel accepted just as they are, but they cannot have it both ways.
To be loved as you are is a fair expectation for anybody, even when you are living below your potential. The problem arrives when that person tried to express and enforce ideas and theories on others that’s outside of their understanding, outside of their belief system or maybe even outside of their experience.
If one chooses to live beneath their potential that’s a choice that they have to live with and it should not become the burden of friends and family. So, with all of that being stated…which bucket are you in and once you choose you need to know and understand whether or not you are expressing your true value.
Lose, win or draw I must in some capacity “walk the high wire without the net” as Bob Crisp would say. In the process of expressing my true value I will learn if I can make the cut. Am I making the cut or do I need more tools and resources? Where do I stand, where do you stand?
The level of honesty we have with ourselves is very important. Before we can move forward in any specific capacity we need to have that HEALTHY & HONEST self talk. If you’ve had it, and you’ve assessed yourself with help or on your own…then maybe you are ready to move to the next level in life.
That next level is to:
Know who you are
Know who you aren’t
Know where you stand
Know how much you can take
Know how much you are not willing to take.
That my friends is pretty much being solid. Within that frame work it should be easier to express your true value. In sales there is a saying. You have to know the A, B, C’s (Always Be Closing). You have to close on yourself with honesty, so that you can express yourself in honesty. This is for entrepreneurs and everyday people. How can we prepare our families with out a true assessment of ourselves. How can we give or have expectations without knowing what it is that makes us who we are, so that we are leading our personal lives in a healthy fashion?
