The title sort of speaks for itself doesn’t it? I thought so, but you know what…everyone else may not think it’s self explanatory. We all have different goals and a different end result. So, with that being said…have you Expanded your Horizons? Feel free to post and respond below or send me an email: sircharlescary@gmail.com I would really like to know how you feel about this topic.
What does it mean? For me it’s about evolving in a positive, productive and progressive manner. That includes the financial and professional perspectives. Let me make this clear. I’m not motivated by money, but when you run a business you better make money or your not really in business. You’re probably going out of business or you have an expensive hobby.
So depending on your interest, your experience, your industry and maybe even your profession I’m asking you are you Expanding Your Horizons?
- Who have you met that perhaps is an influencer, trainer or coach that will help you put the pieces together or get to the next level?
- What have you done (training, books, audio programs, online coaching) that will take you to the next level or simply enhance your current position?
- Where have you gone (school, conferences, live trainings, live coaching) that will expand your experiential no how?
- Have you done all of the above and maybe something that I haven’t mentioned to Expand Your Horizons?
Okay, here’s an entirely different perspective. Although everything written above is sort of traditional, yet very practical there is no specific formula for Expanding Your Horizons. Let me also make that last statement perfectly clear. There is always a process in place that will yield specific results, but everything is not for everybody and sometimes you are not ready to engage certain experiences depending on your personality, maturity, character or temperament.
I was once told that I can’t do business and that I’m not in business without taking the traditional approach. They said I needed a business plan and I was told that I needed to get registered with the state that I lived in and get my tax i.d. number, secure my company name, etc. Now, I’ve done that, but my case in point is that prior to doing what they said I have been exchanging goods and services every since I was in my twenties.
My point is to encourage you with options on how you develop in your daily life or how you develop as an entrepreneur. One of the most important things to do in life is to find out where you fit in. As I wrote in my first book Poetic Xpressions “Big things to me are small from the eye you see” So find your way in whatever legal and ethical way that you can, but be sure to always be in the process of Expanding Your Horizons!
Every Thursday my LinkedIn topic turns into a Blab. Here is the link for this weeks Blab (Expanding Your Horizons): https://blab.im/sir-charles-cary-expanding-your-horizons on the new social media platform.
