Making a way out of no way!
Sometimes you have to NOT be your best friend…You may have to be your own COACH! I’m not talking about a rah, rah session I’m talking about a Vince Lombardi kick butt coach. Can you do it! Will you do it? C’mon man, if it’s to be it’s really up to you! I went to a conference about a week ago and it was amazing! It was my 3rd time at the Full Throttle Experience.
I attended the conference as a presenter first and as a attendee second. The learning, the education and insight you gain is second to none. I’ve been in the training and speaking space for 17 years and sometimes you must face the fact that as much as you know is the extent of it. It may be good, but it may also be limited. You see this is what life is all about …if you are a life time learner.
You may heal and help some people with what you know, but if you upgrade yourself you can possibly help thousands, perhaps a nation or a national movement. That’s why many of us need a coach, trainer or mentor. These are some of the vitamins of life and of business. This chapter isn’t about coaching, don’t get me wrong that is important. This is more about you the individual (YOU). If you can’t be critical (in a honest and constructive way) a coach will either take advantage of you or you will use more time than what’s needed with certain aspects of the coaching process.
Let’s be honest now.
How do you see yourself?
How do you see yourself when you engage people?
How do you see yourself in personal relationships?
How do you see yourself when you’re conducting business (if you are a business owner)?
How do you see yourself when you are alone (literally alone)?
How do you see your body?
How do you see your appearance?
How do you see your plans for each day?
How do you see your level of confidence?
How do you see your insecurities?
Can you answer those 10 questions honestly? I’ll never see your answers, but the answer to each of those questions many cause for critical in-depth analysis. On the surface you can say I’m good, I’m comfortable, etc., but deep down when you do a mental stutter step that let’s you know you need more honest evaluation over that question.
It’s not an indication that your personal or business life is falling apart, but you must consider it in order to move forward in life because if you don’t…I’m afraid at some point you will be trying to fill a void in your life. I know for sure that many of us try filling voids with the wrong things because either we don’t know or we are not honest with ourselves. I know that every emotion or experience does not affect us all the same. However, we should be able to look at ourselves and take off the veil.
