Those things are so familiar with all of us I’m sure, but the focus is GIVE BACK. When it comes to our customers we must give and we must GIVE BACK! I’m talking as big or as much as possible. In a givers economy the focus is always going to be the value that is added to others. Essentially, we must always remember who are customers are.
The fortune 500 and fortune 200 companies are always ideal, but so are the local companies or the companies that nobody has ever heard of. So as you read this it may seem that I’m all over the place, but trust me I’m not. Who are your customers? This is critical because without knowing this you have no idea of where your focus is.
Your customers are your colleagues, your supervisors and managers, even the CEO of your organization. What about in your community? Who are your customers there? How about your neighbors, the mom and pop shop store owners, the landscaping company and the trash man? Yes the trash man is your customer also and you are his!
Behind closed doors we have customers also, this is where I get and hopefully give the biggest GIVE BACK! Our spouses and children! My daughter is grown with children and I lavish in the opportunity to still being a good parent. When any of my children call me for help I long to be there … even if it’s for a loan.
My oldest daughter is evolving in the world as an entrepreneur now. She passed the civil servants exam for a city job and began to get in shape. She’s lost a tremendous amount of weight and now looks model sized sleek but fit. I think she’s beginning to see life through a different lens. The sacrifice she endured to get in shape has her focused.
Not too long ago I discovered that she has a way with words and was interested in writing a book. I’ve written a few books, so I was excited at the opportunity to help her in this area. After several discussions and some coaching…she will be publishing her first book soon.
I gave back to the point that I’m hoping this experience will teach her how to give unto others. Giving Back can have some internal benefits that generate a different type of currency. Yes, I’m so proud of her!!!
